START-UP
In order to be able to make use of this ruling, supervision by a reliable supervisor (facilitator) is required. The main immigration conditions that apply for this ruling are as follow:
Collaboration with a reliable and experienced facilitator.
The product or the service is innovative.
The start-up entrepreneur has a (step-by-step) plan in order to move from idea to business.
The start-up entrepreneur and the facilitator are both registered in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce.
There are sufficient financial means (resources) to be able to reside and live in the Netherlands.
ENTREPRENEUR
The conditions for immigrating to the Netherlands as a self-employed person are as follow:
You are in the possession of a thorough business plan which will be assessed by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Innovative companies have a higher chance of success.
You are registered in the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce (KvK).
You meet the requirements for practicing your business or profession. This means that you have all the necessary licenses.
You are going to earn sufficient income from your activities as an independent entrepreneur. This should be evident from the business plan.
HIGHLY SKILLED MIGRANT
Immigrating to the Netherlands as a highly-skilled migrant can be done by means of an employment contract with a company that is acknowledges as a recognized sponsor of highly-skilled migrant by the Naturalisation Services of the Netherlands (IND). Generally, the following conditions apply:
Employment contract through a recognized sponsor.
Meeting the minimum wage criteria for highly-skilled migrants.
